Social Impacts

Jenga365 is committed to using rugby as a vehicle for social change. Our initiatives are designed to foster inclusion, provide access to education, and build leadership skills among the youth.

By aligning our efforts with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 3 (Good Health & Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), we ensure that every tackle on the pitch translates to a step forward for our community off the pitch.

1. Education & Livelihoods: Back to School Drives

Contributing to SDG 4: Quality Education

We noticed a recurring challenge where talented young athletes often face barriers in the classroom simply due to a lack of basic resources like stationery, uniforms, and proper footwear. To ensure that material lack never stands in the way of a child’s education, we aim to create a consistent support system where academic readiness is treated with the same importance as match-day readiness. We are achieving this by building a scalable collection model that mobilizes the wider sporting community to donate essential items, turning tournaments into “collection hubs” through partnerships with organizations that align with our mission, thereby creating a sustainable circular economy of giving.

2. Mentorship Clinics & Fun Days

Contributing to SDG 3: Good Health & Well-being

While physical training is abundant, we identified a significant gap in mental resilience and off-pitch career guidance, often resulting in a disconnect between aspiring youth and the established senior players they look up to. Our goal is to bridge this generational gap and promote holistic well-being by fostering environments where mental health and life skills are passed down as naturally as ball-handling skills. We achieve this by facilitating interactive clinics and “Fun Days” in collaboration with established clubs and entities fitting our goals, a model that allows us to scale our reach and ensure that organic bonding and long-term mentorship pairs are formed consistently across different regions.

3. Youth Empowerment & Age-Grade Rugby

Contributing to SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals

We observed that in many underserved communities, young people lack safe, structured spaces to develop critical life skills, leaving them vulnerable to social vices. To address this, we aim to use age-grade rugby not just as a sport, but as a vehicle for teaching discipline, teamwork, and leadership, creating safe zones where youth can develop the character traits necessary to succeed in adulthood. We achieve scalability and sustainability by actively seeking partnerships with community-based organizations that share our vision, allowing us to pool resources and standardize our approach to mentorship to build a pipeline of well-rounded individuals empowered to lead.
