On Saturday, 29th November, Jenga365 was honored to receive an invitation from The Try Again Project to participate in their community-based Touch Rugby Tournament hosted at Lower Kabete Rehabilitation School.
The event brought together teams from multiple age groups, each competing in a friendly round-robin format designed to promote teamwork, fun, and inclusivity.
This tournament was more than just a series of games, it was a celebration of hope, mentorship, and the role sport can play in shaping character and creating opportunities.
The Try Again Project has long been committed to using rugby as a tool for rehabilitation and personal development among the youth at Lower Kabete Rehabilitation School. The tournament provided the participants with:
- A chance to express themselves through sport
- A competitive yet supportive environment
- An opportunity to connect with teammates and mentors
- A reminder that they have a community rooting for them
For many of the participants, events like this are a rare moment of joy, confidence-building, and emotional release, and Jenga365 was grateful to be part of it.
As part of our Impact Program, the Jenga365 team came prepared with non-monetary donations, contributing items that support wellbeing, training, and day-to-day needs at the institution.
We aim to make such contributions consistent, sustainable, and scalable as we deepen our community footprint.
This event also gave us a renewed understanding of the importance of creating safe spaces where young people can engage positively, learn, and grow, a core value embedded in the Jenga365 mentorship philosophy.
The highlight of the day came from watching teams across various age grades take the pitch; smiling, competing, learning, and encouraging each other.
The games were structured in a round-robin fashion, ensuring that:
- Every team had equal playing time
- Players interacted with peers of similar experience levels
- The focus remained on learning and growth rather than winning
This format captured the essence of what community rugby is all about: connection, resilience, and collective joy.
At Jenga365, we believe that rugby is a powerful tool for transformation, and meaningful collaborations strengthen that impact.
We are open to partnering with:
- Community-Based Organizations (CBOs)
- Social enterprises
- Foundations and NGOs
- Corporate CSR programs
Together, we can deliver initiatives such as:
- Community rugby clinics
- Mentorship and life skills workshops
- Tree planting and environmental drives
- Orphanage visits and donation campaigns
- Clean-up and rehabilitation projects
The Try Again Project has set an incredible example of what such partnerships can achieve, and we look forward to continuing the journey with them and many others.
This event served as an important milestone for Jenga365 as we expand our social impact programming alongside our core pillars of mentorship, networking, and career development for Kenyan rugby players.
Our vision is clear:
Use rugby to build people. Use people to build communities. Use communities to build a better future.
We extend our deepest appreciation to:
- The Try Again Project
- The Lower Kabete Rehabilitation School
- The volunteer coaches and organizers
- Every player who took part
Your efforts and energy made this day meaningful.
If your organization, club, or CSR department is interested in collaborating with Jenga365, we would love to connect.
